Seichim, a word (pronounced "SAY-keem") is an Ancient Egyptian Healing often incorporated with Reiki. Seichim is associated with the Eastern Goddess of Compassion and Mercy, Quan Yin. Spellings of the word differ: it is spelled Seichim, Sekhem, SKHM, and Seichem.
Origin of Seichim
Seichim originally came from Egypt. It was translated and transcribed from heiroglyphs by the Shin Yon Buddhist; of that time and taken back to India and Japan. Seichim is the Energy of the Universe manifested through the feminine vibration of the Mother Goddess, known by the Buddhists as Quan Yin and by the Egyptians as Sekmet.
Seichim was re-discovered in 1984 by an American Reiki Master, Patrick Zeigler, much in the same mystical way as Dr Usui received Reiki.
Patrick was led to spend the night locked in the Great Pyramid of Giza. He fulfilled his childhood dream by finding a hiding place in the Pyramid and then coming out after the tourists and guards were gone. During his overnight stay in the Pyramid, Patrick lay in the Kingís sarcophagus and while there experienced many initiations including an electric blue-white ball of light entering his heart.
After leaving the Pyramid the next morning, Patrick spent the next several days in the Sudan with a group of Sufis. The spiritual leader of the Sufis was an Egyptian Sheik who passed on to Patrick the teaching that went with his Pyramid experience and called the energy ‘Seichim’.
Seichim and Reiki
It is commonly said that Seichim is of a different vibrational frequency than Reiki. The first three of the seven facets of Seichim are equivalent to the levels of Reiki and use the same symbols. Thus, Facets Four through Seven might be said to be of a higher vibration. Even in Reiki it is said that, with each successive attunement, the ability to channel more, or higher vibrational, energy increases. As Seichim is the first or second series of attunements which many people receive, this fact might easily be missed or overlooked.
Seichim Healing Benefits
In ancient Egypt Sekmet was considered to be the Mother of the Gods and was known as The Great One of Healing. Her magician-priests were the greatest of all healers and her son, Nefar-Tem, the God of Physicians. In ancient Egypt the term "Sekhem" described 'Tower" or "Might" and so Seichim Energy also contains aspects which we do not necessarily associate with the feminine and which are more traditionally male characteristics, so it therefore incorporates both yin and yang, or perfect balance and this balance is the key to progress and enlightenment. Seichim is a beautiful way of accessing the energy of the Great Mother and a path to deeper self-realisation/empowerment It balances and realigns the yin-female aspect of our being on all levels, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual and is an effective energy which can assist in dealing with many female health problems such as infertility, hormonal imbalances, PMT & menstrual or menopausal problems It also re-adjusts imbalances on deeper levels of the psyche such as lack of self-esteem, the need for/lack of nurturing and especially self-empowerment and love.
Seichim takes you back to the very core of your being, enfolding you in the nurturing and healing energy of the Goddess and assisting you to re-establish your contact with the timeless and secret wisdom of the Great Mother, which is the birth right of every woman, wisdom that has not been properly acknowledged for so long in our overly male orientated society.
Seichim is not about power or dominance, one over another, it is about balance, harmony and unconditional love, for this is the only path to true enlightenment and spiritual unfoldment Seichim is a potent energy and must be approached with respect and in a state of unconditional love It cannot be entered into lightly, nor in an egotistical way and people must be prepared to put in time, patience and dedication if they wish to take this step and must clearly understand that their lives will never be the same again once they have been initiated to Seichim energy Seichim is not for the faint hearted but the journey is exquisite once you have taken the step.
At The Yin-Yang Healing Centre we offer a one-hour Seichim Session for 43 USD or 1,500 THB.
